Rebellion - Arminius Furor Teutonicus

This album in particular unravels another piece of history in a time of fierce rulers and dominating empires. On the other hand, this album also shares the merits of survival of two individuals, which similarly to their forefathers, decided to not let go of their vision without muttering about the conditions, the odds and everything that is around them that is troubling. The German REBELLION, formed back in 2001 by two ex-GRAVE DIGGER members, Uwe Lulis and Tomi Gottlich, took a major blow after their previous album two years ago with the departing of Lulis and two of the band's members leaving Gottlich and the frontman, Michael Seifert, to seek out a new fate. However, these two guys didn't give up and a year later they were up and running with replacements continuing the REBELLION legacy of Epic Heavy Metal. The band's brand new release "Arminius: Furor Teutonicus", via Massacre Records, is the debut of this new lineup. Nonetheless, with glory and notable triumphs following the Teutonic / Germanic unified tribes' struggle against the Roman Empire, as it is told on this album, REBELLION as a regrouped clan has yet to live up to the form of their past creations.
Generally, REBELLION kept their same GRAVE DIGGER style of Heavy Metal as it has been attributed right from the very foundation of the band. Toughness, hard biting type of riffing, recognizable and dominating bass, traditional rhythm section and robust vocals are also evident on this here album. Yet I am afraid that the lineup change made a sort of an impact on the band's progress. To be more accurate, it seemed to me to be more of a setback. There were two major segments that more or less lacked in comparison to the previous band's releases. First there is the lead guitar section. I have no info on the new guitarists nor I know which bands they were members, but one thing is certain, the absence of Uwe Lulis was felt, whether on the guitar rhythms and especially the solo fretwork. I can go back to the era when he was the sole player of GRAVE DIGGER but I won't need to, what he did on REBELLION was surreal. The current lead guitar works on this album lacks emotions, sparks and grace. As for the rhythms, some sounded like the awakening of the old GRAVE DIGGER, in particular the "Tunes Of War" era, yet some seemed to be dry, uninteresting and reoccurring. Second factor the lacked was surprisingly the vocal line. When I first heard the voice of Seifert I thought to myself that here goes another mimic, and you probably know who was being mimicked. On the other hand, over time I found the Seifert has more to show for with a multi dimensional voice pattern that delivered artistic outcomes, from low end raspy and foreboding features to high end notes. Truly remarkable I might add. However, coming to this here album, Seifert still performing with elegance seemed rather weary, not giving his whole for the recordings. Well that was a bit troubling and I sure hope that it won't become a standard.

Following these two crucial aspects, this album made REBELLION look a tad weak than the blistering German Metal outbreak that has been conquering hearts since the turn of the decade. The Roman Empire eventually fell to the hands of tribes; some were the German forefathers, but what about REBELLION? They had a few small victories with "Ala Germanica", "Vae Victis" and "Breeding Hate", great traditional Metal outputs that brought back memories of the band's past victories. "Varus" and "Furor Teutonicus" seemed a high level up presenting some assorted sections and a great vocal display that made imagine acts in the theatre. In overall, I wasn't too convinced by what went on this release, yet this is still a fine release presenting slices of history in the same manner of GRAVE DIGGER. You may think about "Tunes Of War" as comparison.

Aesma Daeva - The New Athens Ethos

When one thinks of gothic metal, America is not the first thing that comes to mind. It's probably the last. The American music industry is based on money only, not art. And thats exactly what the problem is. When truly great bands, such as Aesma Daeva appear, they are overlooked and pushed way underground. Ok, now on to the actual review. I'm sorry, I had to rant.
This is probably my favorite Aesma Daeva album. Its probably one of my favorite albums period. But that doesn't mean that this album is without flaws. The first song, The Origin of the Muse, is an absolutely amazing song. The minute and a half long intro to this song may fool some. It is although a hint of what is to come, but I'll explain that later. Anyways, the intro makes you think that this will be some ho hum ambient song, in the vein of the latter half of the debut(not that I didn't like those songs, but they are quite mellow). Then all of a sudden you get this blast of sound. The song only picks up from there. Within the 8 minutes of this song, there are so many changes. The riffs change, the tempos change, the vocal style changes. Going from a soft ambient intro, to frantic riffing and double bass drumming, to doom with horns. The Origin of the Muse is anything but boring. The downfall is that you are expecting an hour long album of this awesome metal portrayed in the first song. That is where you are wrong.

Next up you have one of the many soft instrumentals laced throughout the album. Track 3, The Sons of Heaven, is an awesome doomy track. Again we have another ambient instrumental. By this point, you are only wondering how many more of these until another metal song. Atma is one of the rocking tracks. It is a quite good song, as are all the other actual songs. Now brace yourself. Once again you have an instrumental. An instrumental lasting around 7 minutes if you round up. And then another instrumental, then another. 8 songs have just passed and only 3 of them have even been with vocals. And is it just me or does Sirens sound way similar to Aviva I? Finally we are saved by the next song. It is one of the best from the album, and probably the band. And then there is yet another instrumental. The last song starts off leaving you the impression that there is, yet again another instrumental. About 2 and a half minutes into the song, it picks up with some pleasant guitar and vocals. The song only progresses from there to become a calm doomy type of song.

I make this album sound like it is way worse than it really is, or deserves. It's just that when you get a taste of the more metal side of Aesma Daeva, thats all you really want to hear. Yeah the instrumentals are nice, but there is just too many of them, and that is my only complaint. If it were not for the instrumentals, I would have probably given this album a 100%. The little ambient songs are most likely there to set the greek themed mood, and that they do. So I guess they serve their purpose. But still, so many are not necessary. My advice is to listen to this when you want to relax, that is when it would be best enjoyed.

With about 15 minutes of these soft abstract songs, the majority of the album, the other 34 minutes believe it or not are still, for the most part, pretty rocking. No death metal or speed metal here, but the songs still rock. And besides, the instrumentals are short, with the exception of 2 of them, and beautiful. So take this beautifully crafted album for what it is and enjoy it!

Tales of Dark - Perdition Call

This is pretty much a quintessential BadMoodMan Music release. Tales of Dark are a gloomy Doom/Death band from Serbia, and this is their second album in an almost decade-long career. This has everything you would possibly want, from the mournful riffing, the Paul Kuhr-styled growls, and the long, baggy arrangements. The only really nice surprise here is that they have added the vocals of the sublime Jovana Karajanov rather than use predominantly male clean singing – which is good, because mainman Arpad Takac's clean voice is iffy at best. Most of the really good parts here are when the band slows down for more atmospheric, acoustic parts, as these have a fine, almost folk-ballad vibe to them that I find pleasing. The heavy parts of this album could be charitably described as "derivative". This is a nice enough disc of the style, and fans will not turn it off. But Hades knows there are better bands out there, and there is nothing to especially recommend this one

Trail of Murder - Shades of Art

Sweden is producing some stunning Heavy Metal / Hard Rock bands at the moment, when you have bands like Cheerleader, Morgana Lefay and the already established Sister Sin to name but a few, screaming and tearing into the worlds conscience.  We have another immense band, yes that’s right, bow down to Trail of Murder!
Hailing from a small town in Sweden called Bollnas, which is already known for producing two Metal monsters in Morgana Lefay and Tad Morose, these rockers have produced something phenomenal.  Trail Of Murder ROCK!, and this album is in a word tremendous and awesome, okay two words there!  So let the battle commence as this magnificent work of art will inspire you, grab you by the ankles and swing you around in a metal-tastic frenzy of catchy hooks, amazing vocals and metal delirium. 

Opening with the title track 'Shades Of Art', what grabbed my attention right away is the vocals from Urban Breed.  Raspy, powerful, addictive style, love it.  'Shades Of Art' is a great opener and gears you up for what is quite frankly one of the best debut albums I think I have ever heard!   Love the backing vocals on here as well and the meandering guitar is epic.  This is melodic and metal to the bone. 

Talking of bone, we have 'Carnivore' next up and this song delivers, biting and chewing into your very being.  I am addicted to this band already and I am only on to the second track.  'Lady Don’t Answer' rattles along and breaks your entire dinner service from the intro alone.  It kind of reminds me of Cinderella, but hey that’s a great thing and a compliment as this band is truly 'Nobody’s Fool'!  Again the guitars are excellent Daniel Olsson and Hasse Eismar really are magnificent and some of the riffs will make your hair stand on end.

'Mab' opens up with a lone drum and then really rocks it up as Urban Breed's vocals have you instantly hooked as it thunders along.  'I Know Shadows' is stunning, with great lyrics and is possibly one of my favorite tracks, but it’s as difficult as all the songs are great on this album.

'Your Silence' starts off slow, with excellent drumming from Pelle Akerlind, then Trail Of Murder beef it up a bit, then it slows again.  This one twists and turns like a drunk on a rollercoaster.  'Higher' has an amazing guitar solo and really transports you into Swedish Metal heaven.  A fist punching, head-banging, horns in the air number.  'The Song You Never Sang' is intense and has meaningful lyrics to match.  Brilliant.  Oh I really love this album.

The riffage and opening to 'Nightmares I Stole' is out of this world, love the bass from Johan Bergquist, in fact I just love this song!  A deeper and darker number we have with 'Child of The Darkest Night'.  The song draws you in and has everything thrown into the mix.  It's excellent, it’s melodic and like a Swedish winter, it's dark and brooding and send shivers up and down your spine.

'Some Stand Alone' rocks and wreaks havoc in your skull, just wait for those guitar solos.  On to the final track 'My Heart Still Cries', another powerful number that will have you spellbound as the final chord is struck on the acoustic ending, you just have to put this album on again. 

'Shades Of Art' is an album full of immense tunes, not one filler and an album that really will rock your world.  This band deserves your attention and the worlds.  Make sure you check out 'Trail Of Murder'.

Draconian - Arcane Rain Fell

It is hard, at least for me, to find a genuinely good Goth/Doom album, since many bands in this particular subgenre seem satisfied in ripping off "The Peaceville Three" forever (and not doing a very good job at it, I might add). However, bands like early Theatre of Tragedy were able to go beyond the original sound set by these pioneers and release great gems before falling into oblivion (read: worthless techno, in ToT's case).

Let us acknowledge this isn't a particularly easy subgenre to write good music on, since it has a tendency of becoming stale quite fast, so it requires a healthy dose of talent and songwriting skill to create such long and dragging songs in a way that they come off exciting and moody instead of boring. Draconian is a band that undoubtedly has such skills.

I don't know if this is a concept album, but each song in here seems to tell a story in its own particular haunting way, and the lyrics are exactly one of the elements that can be compared to early ToT, though I consider them slightly more compelling here.

Production is pretty good, with the rhythm guitars packing a powerful crunch and the leads possessing a smooth, fluidic presence (and tone) that goes pretty well with the gorgeous melodies played. Keyboards are frequently used, yet never sound overbearing and you’ll notice how greatly the atmosphere is enhanced by their presence, especially when piano parts are used, like in ‘Heaven laid in Tears’ and a great solo near the end of ‘Death, Come near Me’, where it blends seamlessly into the beautiful vocal melodies, ending the album in a way that can only be described as masterful.

Drums and bass are nothing special, unfortunately, but they don’t fail. Sometimes we get a nice dose of double bass here and there, but that’s all.

As one can expect from this genre, the vocals are relatively diverse. We have a talented female singer whose voice tends to sound like an angel’s, and we have the male, growling singer. Nothing new, but I can say both are very good. Sometimes the male singer goes into a well done black metal rasp and some spoken dialogue, which I usually dislike since it sounds like he is unable to carry a normal, sung melody and instead resorts to talking when feeling tired of grunting. It’s distracting, but not bad per se (especially here).

This is one of those albums you’d better listen to at evening while watching the rain or something like it. If you don’t feel like dozing off on Filosofem, that is. Absolutely essential and entrancing Goth/Doom album.

nah dari indikasi masalah diatas, maka mulailah dicari tahu atau mungkin dianaslis ya(gayane koyok wong yes iki), laptop tetap digunakan seperti biasa, tetapi kok masih tetep suka mati sendiri gitu ya, seringnya pas lagi melakukan kerja berat, nah artinya ini untuk indikasi masalah nomor 1 dan 2 bukan itu, karena kalau untuk yang nomor 1 meskipun nggak kerja berat bisa langsung mati sendiri, nah untuk yang nomor 2 alasanya juga sama, langsung merujuk pada indikasi masalah yang nomor 3, waktu dicek suhunya wow sampe 100 derajat C untuk THRM dan procie bisa sampe 93 derajat C.
