Beholder - The Order of Chaos
Following on from their debut album 'The Awakening' Beholder return with 'The order of Chaos'. There's no dressing things up here, it does exactly what it says in the tin! It' s a straight up honest piece of British Heavy Metal.
The songs have a nice variety there's plenty if melody, big sections of thrash but they focus mainly in groove! something a lot of modern metal bands seen to leave out all too often. Frontman Simon Hull has a great range on his clean vocals, has an awesome growl and makes pretty good use of spoken word passages. All in all he is reminiscent of Paul Dianno. Though saying that 'Morphine Serenity' wouldn't actually sound out of place on one of Bruce Dickinson's solo albums.
All round a solid Metal release not earth shattering bit a good all round band well worth keeping in your radar
